squid -z Killed

Dear friends,

        I've done an upgrade on my AIX box (to 4.2.1). When I tried to
install squid, I received a "Killed" message when tried to create the
directories with squid -z.

        I'm running squid-2.1.PATCH2. I'm using six cache_dirs and their
configuration is like:

cache_dir /usr/local/squid/cache1 8000 123 256

        I'd like any help in order to solve this problem. I've already
installed squid in other 4 boces, and they were just fine.
