Hello Guillaume,

I don't believe you can use Squid as a cache without also using it as a
proxy. However, this seems similar to my setup, where clients are proxied
by the Squid box, the firewall is set as Squid's single parent, and the
firewall proxy handles traffic between Squid and the Internet.

This works nicely until the loading on the firewall proxy kills it ;-)
