configure squid on 2 machine

hi, it's me again

today i've just configure a new machine

intel PIII-500
Ram 64 M
HD 5 x 4 GB
Red Had 6.0
Squid 2.2 STABLE 3
Kernel 2.2.9

another machine : Red Hat 5.1
                  Squid 2.1
                  Kernel 2.0.36

and now i want to use both two of the machine
to runing as a squid together
which one is more better as "parent child" or "sibling"
configuration ...

and how to configure on the machine ?

which i've just a beginner to use two machine :))
