Transparent Proxy Question

Ok, I've got a squid server setup running under Linux 2.2.9, rules in
place using ipchains to hijack the traffic, my border router is setup to
redirect into the squid cache, all of that works fine, and the traffic
makes it to, and is <kinda> handled by the cache.

However, I get the following when I attempt to view a web page
Section 17 of the faq states "For linux this seems to work
automatically", and no where in the FAQ does it talk about compile-time
options needed to make this work.

I'm hoping there is somthing really obvious someone can point out that I
have missed... and of course I'll summarize my findings and what I had to
do to get it to work and submit to the FAQ ... I will also submit Firewall
rules for 3Com Enterprise OS firewalling to get this to work once I have
tested it.

Thanks in advance
