What is FORW_VIA_DB for?

Is there an official explanation what that is for? I can't find any
reference to it in the documentation or FAQ?

[I noticed it as I have a need for access.log to log X-Forwarded-for: values.
Our firewall squid server only talks to internal squid servers and so
statistics on the firewall don't currently tell us who is doing what...]
