Network-wise Windowed Byte Counts of Cache Non-Hits

Hi!

We need to monitor at our Squid 2.2 STABLE 3 Proxy:

Host-wise or Network-wise non hits (i.e. tranfers from
the proxy to the origin server on the ISP Access Link)
over an N second window. Let us call this values V1.

Setup:

Client +----+ ISP LAN +----+ ISP Access Link to
        --------+ R1 +-----------------------+ R2 +-------------------
       Leased +----+ | +----+ the Internet
       Lines { ISP Proxy )
        (L1,...Ln)

Background:

        1. Clients connect to ISP Proxy on a ISP LAN using their Leased
           Lines L1, ... Ln. via router R1
        2. Proxy connects to origin servers via router R2.
        3. Only the ISP proxy is allowed to access the Internet.

We do not wish to process the squid logs over an N second window
because the requests are logged only after being served.

This would be very different from the value V1 when large files
are being served from the origin servers.

Please let me know how I can compute V1.

        Thanks.

Dinesh
