RE: Too long a domain name

Well, I am not using Netscape, any version, any platform. I am using IE5 on
Win98, or IE4 on Solaris 2.6. I am using Squid 2.1RELEASE. If I telnet to
squid, and issue a GET, I still get the dnsserver error page. This happens
whether I use HTTP/1.0 without a host header, or HTTP/1.1 with a Host: header.
It works if I use the Gauntlet 3.2 http-gw running on the same proxy server
host (Irix 6.4) as Squid; or if I use IE5 at home, where I have a direct
connect.

I get this when running dnsserver alone:
# /usr/local/squid/bin/dnsserver
www.llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.co.uk
$fail DNS Domain
'www.llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.co.uk' is
invalid: Non recoverable errors.

I get this when I telnet to the squid proxy port:

$ telnet proxy 8080
