Hello All,

I have recently tried freebsd for our proxy, and its wonderful.

Except its always complaining of 'your running out of filedescriptors' when
I check in cachemgr.cgi we have 1064 avail, and usually only about 400-500
inuse when this error occurs.

When this happens, squid core dumbs and starts running at again at cpu
usages like 96% generally 90's.

I havent yet recompiled the kernel at all, as I'll only used freebsd for
one week.

Any tips will be appreaciated.

I dont want a step by step how to, as i'm willing to learn how to compile
it , i'd just like some advice as to what to change to make it run better:)

regards
Matthew
