"Pragma: no-cache" header in request..

When I set Microsoft IE or Netscape Navigator browsers to use my squid
server as a proxy, they send the "Pragma: no-cache" header with the HTTP
request which keeps my squid server from caching anything.
Is it normal? How do I setup the browsers to use a caching proxy server and
not send the "Pragma: no-cache' header.
