The last message is a soft bug, and can be ignored. If Squid internally
times out a DNS lookup then this warning message will be shown in
cache.log.

Correct, except that it should include an error message saying that the
DNS lookup timed out.

This looks like a generic Squid cosmetic bug, not specific to any
platform. It does not have any impact on the operation besides omitting
some information from the generated error message.
