Q:can my clients use email/FTP/RTP/IRC with invalid IP's?

I want to use Squid as my proxy
I wonder if my clients are still able to use services like :
IRC/email/FTP/Real Audio-Video/RTP(Webphone)
with invalid IP addresses?
IF so,what configuration issues should be done
in client/server sides
