SNMP forward problem

Has anyone used the snmp_forward_port in squid 2.2

I can query (snmpwalk) squid on its port, and ucd-snmp on port 161. My
understanding of the snmp_forward_port is that if I set it to 161, squid
will forward requests for OID's out of its MIB to this port, and get the
result.

I do not see these requests appearing on 161

And Ideas???
