Hi,

I am a beginer to squid.

I intalled squid v.2 STABLEL4 on Linux kenel 2.2.13. I configured two PC as
sibling caches work on LAN. I filled one PC (soppose A) with web pages and
try to request these pages from B. When I check the access.log file. I find
all the request get UDP_HIT/000 replies. But only one TCP_HIT/200 in about
20 or more times TCP_MISS/504.

  943955969.314 0 xxx.xxx.xxx.84 UDP_HIT/000 52 ICP_QUERY
http://www.sg/gifs/nvvalues.gif - NONE/- -
  943955969.317 2 xxx.xxx.xxx.84 TCP_HIT/200 1641 GET
http://www.sg/gifs/nvvalues.gif - NONE/- image/gif

  943955036.844 0 xxx.xxx.xxx.84 UDP_HIT/000 53 ICP_QUERY
http://www.bbc.co.uk/home/today/ - NONE/- -
  943955036.848 2 xxx.xxx.xxx.84 TCP_MISS/504 1191 GET
http://www.bbc.co.uk/home/today/ - NONE/- -

I checked the HTTP/1.1 504 says something refer to timeout.

Also when I set a browser's HTTP proxy to the squid cache on the same PC,
very often I get following reply in browser from the squid. Especially
when request quickly. But if wait for several minutes then request the same
page, squid work.

     Connection Failed

  The system returned:
     (111) Connection refused

Hope someone can help me solve this problem or give me some suggestion.

Thanks,
Yeli
