Cumulative allocated volume

I'm using Squid on a very low-end computer (PII / 350, 32 Mb, 700 Mb Squid
cache)
Analysing CacheMgr 'Memory Utilisation' I've found following values:

Cumulative allocated volume: 41.41 GB
Current overhead: 7205 bytes (0.140%)
Idle pool limit: 0.00 MB
(I've switched off memory pools)

Is it normal? According to my oppinion, something goes wrong in memory
using.
Could you please suggest me some options to tune up memory using.

Some most memory consuming lines from CacheMgr output:

Pool Obj Size Allocated In Use
                              (bytes) (#) (KB) high high
impact
                                                                 (KB)
(hrs) (%total)
StoreEntry 56 40171 2197 2204 0.47 44
Store Mem Buffer 4096 405 1620 1776 117.01 32
MD5 digest 16 40171 628 630 0.47 12
Short Strings 36 3337 118 136 140.35 2

Thank you in advance!
