Strange WCCP issue

Hi,

I got WCCP v1 running just fine on my 2.2.STABLE5 Squid with kernel 2.2.13 (with a SuSe 6.1 distri)
Now I've installed SuSe 6.2 , with the same kernel (2.2.13) and I've applied the ip_gre.c patch and compiled the kernel with all options required for wccp-transparent caching .... only it doesn't work anymore ;-(

- Squid IS accepting WCCP-message on port 2048
- I've defined the gre0 driver and this interface is up
- I'm running ipchains 1.3.9 , 17 march 1999 (my previous SuSe had ip-chains 1.3.8 => it this buggy ?!)
- Had a statement like : ipchains -A input -i gre0 -p tcp -d 0.0.0.0/0 80 -j REDIRECT 8080

Any hints ?
Can this be caused by running a new distribution ?? Isn't my /usr/src/linux-2.2.13 containing everything needed for compiling kernels ??

Regards

Ohhhh...MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
