RE: Please Help - Squid Error Message

Having just had Duane help me out with this one, I'm pleased to pass on his
wisdom... ;-)

The RH 6.1 install, it seems, put:

        nameserver localhost

into /etc/resolv.conf, and Squid didn't like that. Either remove it or use
127.0.0.1 instead, and the error will go away.

Cheers,

%->
%-> I have squid installed on a FreeBSD 3.2 box acting as a gateway/firewall
%-> of sorts.
%->
%-> I have a internal address (10.10.0.100) bound to one network adapter and
%-> a real address bound to another.
%->
%-> I have tried this with the firewall option turned on in the kernal and
%-> with it turned off but I get the same problem either way.
%->
%-> Squid works fine other than every time it hits a new domain (meaning one
%-> it hasn't seen in a while) it generates this error message and causes a
%-> 3-5 second pause before it starts to pull in the site. This is
%-> extremely annoying for the users.
%->
%-> Any ideas would be very much appreciated.
