Some preleminary and possibly very inaccurate measurements I have made
seems to indicate that unlink+create+write is slightly faster than
truncate+write.. don't ask me why. I expected the reverse.

It would be interesting to have polygraph runs of the two configurations
to see if there in "real life" is any difference for Squid.
