Hi.

Make sure that you have edited your squid.conf file to allow your client to
access the proxy.

Try looking at the http_access paramater. For a wide open proxy set it as
"http_access allow all"..

Subject: Problem in installing

I am facing the strange problem with the squid. Though the installation is
successful, I am not able to use the squid server as a proxy server. It
just says, Access denied from the client. I am not very professional in this
but having some working knowledge, I have been searching the squid web
site, but could not find any useful information to configure the server. I
am running this on RADHAT 6.1.

Please let me know where will I get some useful information on this. I am
not interested in all those stuff like controlling and other things. My main
aim is to use the squid server as proxy server so that I can share my
internet. I would be glad if some can send me a simple squid.conf file which
works with out any configuration.

Thanks in advance.

Sreedhar
