Hello!

        I've the following configuration:

+-------------+ +-------------+ +-------------+ +------------+
| Nt Server 1 | | Nt Server 2 | | Nt Server 3 | | Nt Server 4|
| Kirk | | Spock | | Klingon | | Picard |
+-------------+ +-------------+ +-------------+ +------------+
       | | | |
------------------[ Internal Network 10.1.1.0/24 ]--------------------
                                 |
                        +------------------+
                        | Debian Linux 2.2 |
                        | Neuromancer |
                        +------------------+
                                         |
---------------------------[ Internet ]-------------------------------

Neuromancer has a lot of aliases, one for each website. Internally,
the NT servers have aliases, but on the 10.1.1.0/24 network, one for each
website too. (for security reasons, we *dont* want the NT servers to have
public ip addresses). Currently, we're using port forwarding, so, all
connections to 200.41.134.2:80 are masqueraded to 10.1.1.102 and back.

Now because some issues with tunnels, i dont want to use port
forwarding, i was looking for a solution a little higher at the protocol
stack, the options i have are:

- rinetd
- squid

I prefer squid and i heard about httpd accelerator, before trying
that, i want to know if someone did this before. What i thought was to use
squid as a proxy, but backwards. For example, if i try to connect to
www.amtec.net (200.41.134.20) squid will proxy the connection to 10.1.1.120.

Did anyone use this kind of configurations? Are the results good?.
TIA.
