squid and /etc/hosts file ....

 Hello,

 im trying to access some urls that appear only in my /etc/hosts file (the
 urls have "invalid" ip addresses), but squid is always doing the lookup at
 my name server. I have static routes configured to that IP's, too.
 How can i configure it to look in the local /etc/hosts file before looking
 at the name server ???
