        Hello Everyone!

We are currently evaluationg our system and decided to
implement Linux in place of our four (4) NT Machines
        running MS Proxy ALONE!@*_(&!#.

Please send feedback or comments regarding our plans.

CASE: Basically, majority of our clients have their Browsers
configured to use the proxy servers with CARP Relationships
for HTTP and FTP, since this is much overhead to support people,
we are planning to implement transparent proxying. Unfortunately,
we are all new to Linux..

        My questions:

                1. With Transparent proxying, will the proxy configured
                    browsers be affected?

                2. Is it possible to redirect port 21 traffic to the squid
                    boxes?

                3. With this configuration will we implement CARP or ICP?

Environment and Available Linux Distribtuions we plan to use are
Redhat 6.2 and Caldera eServer 2.3, which should we use?

        Thanks :(

        Tristan
