resetting access.log

Hi folks,

I've got a problem with my access.log. It is getting really to big.
My idea was to reset the access log by deleting this file.I
thought that squid would create a new one, but squid did nothing
that way.

Can anybody tell me how I can delete the access.log and create a new
one, maybe as a cron job?
