Duane,

Thank you for the help. I have done what you've suggested (that is, put
"debug_options ALL,1 33,2" then "squid -k reconfigure".

I get the ff messages in cache.log (they keep on repeating; the FD values
differ however):

2000/07/06 08:57:52| requestTimeout: FD 28: lifetime is expired.
2000/07/06 08:57:58| requestTimeout: FD 44: lifetime is expired.
2000/07/06 08:57:59| clientPackMoreRanges: in: offset: 98840 size: 1448
2000/07/06 08:57:59| clientPackMoreRanges: out: start: 98840 spec[0]: [0,
8183799), len: 8183799 debt: 8084959
2000/07/06 08:57:59| clientPackMoreRanges: buf exhausted: in: offset:
100288 size: 0 need_more: 8083511
2000/07/06 08:57:59| clientPackMoreRanges: need more: spec[0]: [0, 8183799),
len: 8183799

I have search your squid FAQ for "requestTimeout" and "clientPackMoreRanges"
but failed.

Hope you could help again

Thanks
-botp

btw: the 32,2 option doesn't show the desired log message. i added 28,9 wc i
got from your FAQ.
