TIMEOUT PROBLEM (URGENT )

('binary' encoding is not supported, stored as-is) Hi! I've set up s proxy server using squid-2.3.STABLE3,
so that i can substitute the one in use now ( the active
one uses squid-2.3.STABLE2 ). It happens that i get a lot
of timeouts in when i try to access webpages through the
new proxy servers, that uses the old as it's gateway. I
was looking through the access.log file and there's a lot
of messages like this:

964000775.553 122310 192.168.7.68 TCP_MISS/504 1098 GET
http://www.checkpoint.com/images/home2/svn_intro.gif -
TIMEOUT_DIRECT/www.checkpoint.com

Can anyone tell me what to change in the squid
configuration in order to solve this?
I configured squid, the same way that the old one was
configured, with the almost the parameters, changing only
the disk storage capacity.
