Greetings,

Guys. I need your help. I'm having some trouble with squid. I created a user
named "squid" under the group "nogroup". I then started the squid and there
where no error messages nor any confirmation that the squid had started. It
just created a new command line. To verify if squid is really running i
typed ps ax |more then I saw that ./squid was there. I assumed that squid
was already running, I then configure my browser to use a proxy server and
point all the http request to the linux box that contains squid with the
default port which I think is port 3128. By the way, I'm using the default
squid.conf which I got after I compile the squid. Anyway, after configuring
the browser and then started browsing but I had an error message which says
that the server could not be found. Pls. I need your help. Thanks.
