Upgraded STABLE4

Hi All

I had installed proxy squid 2.3 STABLE1, at OS Solaris 2.7 . It's OK. But
when I upgrade to STABLE4, failed (not working)
At OS Solaris 2.7, also installed perl 5.005_3 and gcc 2.95.2. How to
upgrade ?
Please confirm me step by step actions.
I'm beginner for it.
