storeRebuildFromDirectory: failed to get meta data

Greetings,

We run Squid-2.3s4 on solaris 7 with 4 x 15Gig cache disks.

I erased the 64Meg swap.log from each cache directory in
order to get a new/fresh swap.log file and got many of the
following messages on the cache.log file:

storeRebuildFromDirectory: failed to get meta data

Does this mean that there are object zombie files
on the cache directories. If so how can one safely
clean/remove these files?
