[SQU] MS support Kerberos?

I have a question about Kerberos support by MS(micro soft).

A few years ago, I read a magazine which said
MS support Kerberos in NT5 (now called 2000 ?) for security enhancement.

But now, Kerberos is not common (I think).
IE5 support Kerveros ? (I dont know such feature.)

Please teach me MS's approach for security infrastructure in the near future.
NTLM will be used in a few years?

(Nobody cannot expect MS's way...)
