Machine Stats:
4 Gig available for the cache files
256 Meg of ram
PIII 650
Has squidGuard overlayed.
Acting as main router/firewall/proxy server

The problems started when I removed the 27 Gig hd and installed the 4 Gig HD. I
moved the 27 Gig HD to my file server, which now contains the huge log files from
squid. I figure if I use 3.5 gig HD space for cache files, I sould be allright. I
have been playing with settings for the cache directory. Squid dies every 5 days.
It only gets 1.5 gig written to the hard drive, then is dies. My temproary
solution is to purge the cache directory and tell squid to rebuild it. It will
then wun for another 5 days. I would prefer to not have to babysit this server.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Michael D. Kirkpatrick
