Squid is not a FTP client proxy. It cannot recieve FTP requests. You can
use things like the FWTK to proxy FTP, or simply use NAT/allow your
linux server to route the FTP requests directly.

Subject: [SQU] FTP client

Hi,
sorry if this has been posted before but I have been searching for a
week on the net for an answer and can'tget one. My query is: How do you
get Squid to let windows clients use an FTP client like cuteftp?? I am
desperate to get this to work as I am trying to get my boss to embrace
linux in our corporate environment and have been able to show him
squid's great proxy service with web related tasks, however as he does
alot of FTP downloads from a windows 2000 professional machine I need to
get this happening and no matter what I try I can not get an FTP
connection from his machine. Help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
