[SQU] Unable to open swapfile

Hi there !

In case the following topic was already covered here - sorry 'bout that - alt least
I didn't find it in the FAQ...

I have a problem with SQUID version 2.2 on a sparc running with Red-Hat 6.2
(Kernel 2.2.12-42): The program can't open the swapfile anymore and fails to
restart, saying there would be no space left on the device.

What confuses me is, tht only 17% of the partition containing the cache were
used:

zeus:[squid] #df

/dev/sdd1 519388 85232 407772 17% /usr/local/squid/cache
...

I had to delete all files in the cache-directory to start squid again. This
happened twice in three weeks, now.

It would be great if somebody knew how to solve this problem (or better: tells
me what I did wrong in my configuration :-) Futher down you'll find a part of squids
cache.log and squid.conf
