If you get the 2.4 branch via CVS, or get the 2.4 daily tarball in about
24 hours, you can try the "null" storage system:

        cache_dir null 0 /var/tmp

The only reason /var/tmp is there is so that Squid might use
it for its current directory while running. No swap files
would be written to /var/tmp.
