[SQU] too slow offline_mode ?

My problem is:
in offline mode ('offline_mode on' in squid.conf)
squid TRY TO FIND MY DNS SERVER. So I nave to
wait about 110 seconds for decision -> will I see
the page or not:)
Can I do something to avoid this?
the version is 2.3STABLE4
Slackware kernel 2.2.16
