Rob,

I added the line for the corefile location.

Here's a snip of my cache.log with what looked to be hashed credential info
removed.

<snip>
2001/01/08 04:02:48| helperOpenServers: Starting 5 'ncsa_auth' processes
cannot stat /usr/local/squid/etc/passwd
cannot stat /usr/local/squid/etc/passwd
cannot stat /usr/local/squid/etc/passwd
cannot stat /usr/local/squid/etc/passwd
cannot stat /usr/local/squid/etc/passwd
2001/01/08 08:20:07| authenticateDecodeAuth: Unsupported or unconfigured
proxy-auth scheme, 'NTLM (hashed info removed)'
FATAL: Received Segment Violation...dying.
<snip>

/usr/local/squid/etc/passwd does not exist. Is that the problem? If I need
to create this file, what is the format?

Thanks,
Craig
