HI...
not much help on the transparency or auth. part...but
I had a problem when I was running apache and squid on the same box....
my web pages were being blocked when I was forcing proxy server thru
ipchains....(blocked port 80)
however.... I would guess.. a workaround is through some kind of redirect
back to
your own web server....
I'm sure someone else can explain this better.....:)
