I think it would be quite satisfactory if just the add load failed.

Subject: [SQU] damn DoubleClick Ads!

HI All,

I'm running squid 2.3STABLE3 on AIX 4.3.3

I am experiencing problems, mainly with DNS lookups on doubleclick. When a
user goes to a page with a doubleclick ad, it sometimes return an error on
the dns lookup for the host of that ad. Something like "No DNS records for
this domain name" or something like that. So the user has to disable their
squid setup, connect directly and it works. When I do a dns lookup from the
actual box that squid runs on, it is able to resolve this name. The major
problem here is that if the ad cannot be returned, the whole page load
fails. Has anyone experienced similar problems? What are you doing to work
around this?

Thanks

Matt
