sorry... but proxy is a kind of firewall (tcp illustrated by Stevens says
this), and squid is a ?

there are many layers (DoD, OSI) of "firewalling",
Es. iptables with linux makes layer 2 and 3 firewalling
squid makes upper layer firewalling.

ok... i understand squid is a cache.... but makes also proxying so it is a
firewall.
