Squid is an http proxy only . then it can do filtering on http requests only
.why do you assume that squid can filtering on SMTP and other protocols ?

Subject: [squid-users] What can squid filter on?
Does squid only do filtering for HTTP, SMTP , and a few other common
protocols, or can any two applications talk TCP over squid?
Thanks,
Joe
