[squid-users] Opinion on squid config

        Hi guys,

        I'd you to suggest me what to do. Today I have runnig squid ( 2.2-Stable5
) proxy, that handles about 200k reqs/day. Its running on a rh62 box.
Processor is P2 300, with 512Mb RAM and 9Gb of swap space.

        I'm planning to upgrade it, and I'm thinking on squid 2.4S1.
Questions: 1) Is 24S1 stable enough for production environments ?? 2) If
yes, what would be the recommended configuration for getting a great
performance ( replacement policies ( memory and disk ), filesystem (
reiserfs or ext2 ), etc etc ) ...

        Hope you could give me some points on that, if possible of course.
