i am using RH Linux 6.2 and Squid 2.3S4 for quite a
long time with store type ' ufs 'and it is very
stable, yesterday i recompiled my squid enabling '
async-io ' with default 16 number of threads (i have
also checked with 32 number of threads but the same
result), i added the following line in my squid.conf:

cache_dir asyncufs /cache 1000 32 256

after this i shutdown squid and restart it, squid
responded very good for sometime but after not more
than 5 minutes it stopped responding and i saw the
following error in my cache.log
------------------------------------------
FATAL: Received Segment Violation...dying.
2001/04/17 18:44:32| storeDirWriteCleanLogs:
Starting...
2001/04/17 18:44:32| WARNING: Closing open FD 16
--------------------------------------------

do i have to clean my cache before enabling ' async-io
'?
any help would be appreciated?
