It is a pain. Plain text works much better for discussion.

My vote is to reject it if any action. Filtering it might produce a
different result than intended, and does not help educate people about
how to behave on mailinglists. Most people using HTML mail do so because
it happened to be the default in their mail user agent, not knowing why
doing so is not a such great idea.
