hello folks,

i have a sattelite internet connection and i am using it with squid.
i have set up a filter to download exe,zip,rar,iso,avi,mp3 etc files
from the satellite.
everything works fine but i would like to ask the following...

internet satellite owners know that you get better results if you
are using a download manager that utilizes multiple threads by
splitting the file in 2 or more parts.
the performance gain in my case is about 500%.
a one thread file would download at 20k/sec while a 5 thread
would download at more than 100k/sec.

is there a way to implement this in squid so that you would use
any download proggie (netscape, lynx or whatever) to download
the file but get squid to open 5 threads to the same
server to get better speed.

thanks,
spyros
