Well... client is just a very simple HTTP client. Nothing really Squid
specific. Any HTTP client who can request the URL's shown in access.log
when using cachemgr will do. The mgr: thingy in client is just a
shortcut for constructing these URLs.
i.e. using for example Perl LWP should works just fine...
