Hi,

I have a feeling that to divulge cache logs without the express permission
of every user recorded in the logs would contravene the data protection act.

In fact I'm possitive.

Subject: [squid-users] A plea for log files...

Hi,

I know this isn't strictly a Squid question but I hope you don't mind me
asking anyway.

I am doing a Ph.D. and am researching cooperative caching and placement
policies. To drive my simulation I need log files from proxies. The more
the better!

I have found some publicly available logs on-line but most of these are old
or are from high level caches that don't necessarily reflect the real web
cache environment.

Does any one know of any more recent publicly available logs for large to
medium organisations?

Or could anybody make their log files available to me for my research. The
log files can obviously be sanitised to protect privacy.

Thanks in advance,

Tim
