[squid-users] Two networks implies two squids ?

I have to do a link beetwen two networks to make possible the access by
clients owned by the network A to servers owned by network B .
Two propositions exists:

1°)

All the clients ( network A ) pass through a squid to reach the servers
, this implies for the squid a route ( simply to do ) and an access to
the DNS's network B , the squid is dedied to this work.

2°)

All the clients pass through a proxy in network A , and this proxy
communicate with another proxy in network B ( protocole ICP )
The squid in network B have to redirect a part of the request too heavy
for network ( applet java etc... ) and resolve the server's name
For this solution , is it possible for the squid in network A ( client
side ) without access to DNS's network B to redirect URL's request on
squid network B ?

Thank you for the response , if it is possible what is the parameters to
move in the squid.conf for the two squids ?
