 Hm, I find the examples in the FAQ to complex.
 
 You don't need a web server on your squid box.
 Just copy cachemgr.cgi to the master cgi-bin of your Intranet
webserver.

 If you need a different location , then complex aliasing may be needed
 in your webserver's conf ,but if you don't need it, avoid it.
 
 I have a different platform, for my Intranet webserver(s), then the box
 were squid is running on.
 Meaning that I need another platform binary for cachemgr.cgi. But that
 is not an issue, since that application, prompts among other things
 for the host were SQUID is running on.
