Hi all
well i ve got a strange problem with my dual nIC squid box

the 2 NICS are configured in 2 diff IPS of 2 diff n/ws
squid is listening on one of them only and configured to work as a
transparent cache

ive got ipchains rule to redirect all port 80 traffic to squid port
now what is happening is that ( i think ) the packets are forwarded to
the IP on which squid is not listening ??

some times i also see that when i disable theo ther NIC using ifconfig
.. yet that IP is pingable..
checking out the directly connected router's ARP cache i saw that both
the IPS were corresponding one of the NICS only

iknow that this is not a squid problem
can someone tellme if i can write an IPCHAINS rule to forward and
redirect packets to the other NIC if that is reqd
or else squid listens on all the NICS by default
hope to hear answers from all u helpful folks
rgds
