Hi,

I notice the following differences with regards to the HTTP 206 response
to request from IE and netscape when trying to open up a pdf file.

Netscape:

HTTP/1.0 206 Partial Content
Server: Netscape-Enterprise/4.0
Date: Mon, 10 Sep 2001 19:41:07 GMT
Last-Modified: Wed, 04 Apr 2001 01:40:29 GMT
Accept-Ranges: bytes
Content-Type: multipart/byteranges; boundary="Squid/2.4.STABLE1:8292013C6FCD56F15E96E63EA7766449"
Content-Length: 362
Age: 133930
X-Cache: HIT from proxy.foo.net.sg
X-Cache-Lookup: HIT from proxy.foo.net.sg:8080
X-Cache: MISS from proxy.foo.net.sg
X-Cache-Lookup: MISS from proxy.foo.net.sg:8080
Proxy-Connection: keep-alive

IE:

HTTP/1.0 206 Partial Content
Server: Netscape-Enterprise/4.0
Date: Wed, 12 Sep 2001 09:01:32 GMT
Last-Modified: Mon, 12 Mar 2001 07:38:19 GMT
Content-Type: multipart/x-byteranges; boundary=305632672230212
X-Cache: MISS from proxy.foo.net.sg
X-Cache-Lookup: HIT from proxy.foo.net.sg:8080
Proxy-Connection: close

I noticed that the Content-Type: boundary from Netscape contain the squid
version info in it. Is this normal as I experienced problem opening up the
pdf file via netscape but had no problem from IE?

Thanks for the help in advance.

regards,

Sonny I. Franslay
