This is seen in three different occations:

a) There is a serious performance problem with your DNS servers or the
communication to them

b) There is a Internet breakdown, causing many domains to be unavailable
on the Internet.

c) (variant of b, and not very likely as you have many dnsserver slots)
Some domains frequently visited by your users have become unavailable.
