Hello to all of you,
in the past three days I tried to configure a firwall for my Linux - Router
... (SuSE 7.2)
Interface to the Internet ppp0
Two internal interfaces (eth0 and eth1)
On the internal net are 6 Windows Boxes which use Squid as Proxy for WWW ...
When I switch off the proxy in the browser (the router also routes these
packages into WWW) I can
see the page that I requested ....
But when I configure the browser to use Squid on my firewall-server (Port
3128) then I
don´t get the page ...
I looked into the log-files for my firewall and found out that my firewall
denies some requests with
port 53 (DNS) ... what could be the problem ?
I can make DNS-Requests from my windows-clients ... and it works ...
